Innovation Society Roundtable

Have something you wish to share? Then join us for this months roundtable where we will be discussing current innovations taking place.

Our August meeting offers a more intimate gathering, with opportunity for each participant to “take the floor” if they wish to. Bring information to share, an inquiry or request, or lead us in a brief conversation on a topic of your choice. Feel free also to “pass” and just enjoy our dinner and conversation.

Though we will not be in a private room, we can be as noisy as we like.
Mountain View’s Google WiFi network is accessible from this month’s location, in case you’d like to share something on-line. The connection quality is inconsistent, so cache key pages ahead of time!

Web 2.0 and its Applications

How does Web 2.0 effect the world? Join us this month for a discussion about Web 2.0 and it’s applications.

Program Description:

Vitaly Golomb is CEO of SputnikSF (www.sputniksf.com),
a privately held company providing design and technology infrastructure since
1998. Web 2.0, now in common vernacular, refers to the second generation of web-based communities and hosted services. Vitaly will offer his experience and perspectives on Web 2.0 and its ability to support business and more.

We invite you to be prepared to let us know about your own favorite Web 2.0 applications, and participate in a discussion about how it can support innovation.

Leading, Managing and Motivating Creativity in the Workplace: What CEOs want, need and say

What is the best way to keep ideas coming? Join us as we discuss this topic and how the workplace can improve to foster ideas.

ArLyne Diamond, PhD

Program Description:

Dr. ArLyne Diamond (www.DiamondAssociates.net) will share what she’s learned from her extensive interviews with 50 Silicon Valley C-level executives. Synthesizing the best from these discussions and informed by her own background in business, psychology, management and law, ArLyne has developed programs for helping good ideas “bubble up”.

As part of her presentation, ArLyne will lead us in a stimulating and interactive dialogue.
